I remember being on a rooftop, near a city park (Boston or New York), surrounded by a multitude of goths and punks. It was daylight, and apparently we had gathered to catch a glimpse of goth diva Siouxsie Sioux, who was traveling in a motorcade and promoting a tour consisting of the Banshees and the Sex Pistols, and some newer bands (reminiscent of the Curiosa tour).

Anyhow, it was also the day of the presidential election of 2008, and very warm for November (what else is new these days). Someone in the crowd had gotten word of the election results, and much to our horror a Bush had gotten elected again! (Not sure if it was "W" or Jeb, but what's the difference). Well, needless to say, both the goths and punks were pretty pissed, and we decided to start a riot. It began on the rooftop, but quickly spread to the ground below. This was one fixed election that was not going to stick, and we weren't going to rest until it was made right.

Commentary: Is this all because my plans for Goth Night were thwarted by Lord Summerisle? Well, poo on him and his boomer companions. If I had a time machine, I'd send them all back to the sixties where they belong. (More on this later...)
